Artificial collection of photographs pertaining to monuments dedicated General John Gibbon for his service during the Civil War. The collection includes three color photographs of the monument dedicated in his honor at Gettysburg National Military Park, and two photographs of the Iron Brigade monument located at Arlington National Cemetery. The photographs of the Gettysburg Monument show the entire monument and details, while the Arlington Monument images show both the front and back. Gibbon served as commander of the Iron Brigade at the battles of Second Bull Run, South Mountain, and Antietam and was commander of the 2nd Division, II Corps during the battle of Gettysburg.
